Objective To explore the parameters of polysomnography (PSG) of depressive patients with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS). Methods The participants who completed all night polysomnography (PSG) in the sleep medical center of Suzhou Guangji hospital from December 2017 to October 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. Four groups of subjects were selected: 31 depression patients with OSAHS, 79 depression patients without OSAHS, 96 patients with moderate to severe OSAHS and 32 normal controls. All night sleep was monitored by PSG to obtain the total sleep time, sleep latency, awakening times, sleep efficiency, N1, N2, N3 and REM sleep proportion, REM latency, REM duration, oxygen reduction index and other related parameters. Results In terms of sleep process, there were significant differences in total sleep time sleep time, sleep latency and awakening times among the four groups(F=41.492,11.827,10.552,P<0.05 or 0.01). In terms of sleep structure, there were significant differences in the percentage of N2 phase and N3 phase in sleep time among the four groups (F=13.885,48.013P<0.05); there were significant differences in REM latency , REM duration and REM sleep proportion among the four groups (F=41.492,11.827,10.552,P<0.01) .In terms of respiratory related indexes, there were significant differences among the four groups (F=170.585, P<0.05). Conclusion Depression patients with comorbid moderate to severe OSAHS suffer from severe sleep process and structural disturbances, accompanied by more frequent and severe respiratory related events. |
