| Objective To explore the effect of micro-lectures in mental health education among medical inpatients during the COVID-19 outbreak.Methods Inpatients in internal medicine department of The Third Hospital of Mianyang during January 26-February 10， 2020 were selected and received mental health education through micro-lecture videos posted on WeChat official accounts and group chats； At the same time， Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale （GAD-7） and Patients’ Health Questionnaire-9 item （PHQ-9） were adopted to assess the patients before and two weeks after the implementation.Results Before and after the implementation of micro-lectures， the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 scores of the patients were reduced from （13.03±4.32） and （14.07±3.13） to （8.58±2.84） and （12.11±3.27）， respectively. Moreover， the detection rates of moderate-to-severe anxiety and depression also showed significant difference before and after the implementation （P<0.01）.Conclusion During the COVID-19 epidemic， the implementation of micro-lectures in mental health education may help relieve anxiety and depression status among medical inpatients. |
