In medical research, there are many factors that affect the proper selection of statistical methods. Samples and their statistics may be two factors that cannot be ignored but are easily ignored. This article details the source of sample randomness, sample acquisition methods, independent identically distributed samples, statistics, sampling distribution and so on, in order to explore which conditions should be met for the application of statistical methods and why these conditions should be met, so as to improve the scientific nature of medical papers.
